Achill Island is found off the west coast of Ireland. It is a place of raw beauty and a land steeped in history. The Bearded Candle Makers have spent many nights under the stars there and at the start of Autumn they have always noted a lingering scent on the air around dusk. It's very hard to describe but they have captured the essence of it in this candle. It's made up of the heather, the bog expanses, the lingering scent of turf burning and something else hard to place. The scent is the scent story of Achill Island.
They have used a blend of patchouli, heather, Achill Island turf, bluebells and vetiver to create this scent story.

Size: 160g with a burn time of 35 hours
Ingredients: Sustainable plant wax, free from palm wax, beeswax, petroleum, pesticides, herbicides. Wicks are lead-free and and are simply made from pure cotton with paper cores. The Bearded Candle Makers use 10% fragrance in their candles, whereas the industry standard is between 3 - 7%. This means the scent will last until the very end of the candle and will not fade. This candle now comes in an amber glass jar which is easier to recycle and has a recycled aluminium lid.
