Sylvia Parkinson Brown

Originally from Belfast, Sylvia Parkinson-Brown attended art school in London and now lives in Kilkenny. She frequently experiments with surfaces and mixed media, favouring wooden panels and working with a range of materials and techniques. Drawing is the fundamental building block of every piece followed by large chunks of graphite, layers of gesso, acrylic and gold leaf.
