Growing up in Belfast, Newcastle, County Down was always a place Stephen and his family visited during Easter and Summer holidays. During these visits he has lots of fond memories of the very famous Helter Skelter and the swans everyone used to have fun on. These nostalgic memories are an important part of Stephen’s painting process and he likes to capture the joy and colour in a particular place with the remembrance of happy family memories.
