Sandra Maze

Sandra Maze was born in Edinburgh and moved to Northern Ireland in1967. She has found a continual source of inspiration in the beautiful countryside and coastlines of both Ireland and her native Scotland. Sandra loves painting ‘plein air’ as she is able to experience, in the translucency of pure watercolour, the intimacy of the scene in front of her. The constantly changing light encourages her to work fast, in order that fleeting moments can be recalled on paper.
