Product Description

Based in County Down, Ruth Osborne creates mixed-media original works on Irish Linen inspired by the landscape and flora of the local area and the changing seasons. This open edition print of her original artwork features skeletal cow parsley set against a frost blue, misty background. It is a celebration of the beauty of Winter hedgerows and verges and interesting forms created by last season's plants. It evokes a frosty start to the day as the early morning winter mist begins to lift and the sky is inky blue before sunrise. The title references the traditional Celtic Festival of Samhain in Ireland. Occurring to mark the transition into Winter and the Winter Solstice. You can view all original artwork, prints and Irish linen votives by Ruth Osborne here.
