Based in County Down, Ruth Osborne creates mixed-media original works on Irish Linen inspired by the landscape and flora of the local area and the changing seasons. This open edition print of her original artwork features a meadow scene with delicate native Irish foliage, grasses and buttercups. It is a celebration of growth, warmth and colour and seeks to capture the lush Irish meadows of County Down; rain-soaked and abundant, warmed by the soft summer sun. The title references the traditional Celtic Festival of Bealtaine in Ireland. Usually occurring in early May the festival marked the transition into summer. Unframed prints are prints are printed on high quality textured German etching paper and packaged in a clear cellophane bag.
