This sculptural and decorative piece by Ruth Fairhead is entitled 'Implosion' and has been completely hand built from slabs of clay and then imprinted with patterns using linocut. It makes a stunning centrepiece for a table or display. Designing her own patterns and cutting her own lino is an important part of Ruth's design process. Ruth uses glazes that enhance the ridges and troughs of the imprinted clay and this colourway is aptly named 'Ice'.
