Richard Ballantyne

​​​​​​​Richard Ballantyne started his career at Bradford College of art, where he studied as an interior designer. In his first teaching job, he was put in charge of a ceramics department and this started a lifetime love affair with the ceramics. Both Richard and Carol hand build sculptural ceramics ranging from stunning hares, cows and chickens, to more eccentric animal heads. Their pieces are raku fired which is why every piece looks truly unique.
