A joint exhibition of sea inspired original art by local artist Laura Bryson and ceramicist Kirsti Brown. Working in acrylic, Laura Bryson attempts to show the beauty of the sea, sky and shore, in her own way. Using a combination of palette knives and brushes, she brings texture to her work. Most of her paintings feature the beaches and atmospheric skies of the County Antrim coast. Kirsti Brown’s range of stoneware ceramics are inspired by her love of wandering, drawing and daydreaming by the coast. Each of her ceramic vessels is hand built and influenced by the sea, beaches and cliffs around Wales and Scotland. The decoration is added to evoke shorelines, waves and landscape and features a distinctive vivid turquoise glaze.
