Local wood turner Jon Timmins has always had an affinity with wood and woodturning has enabled him to develop his creative side. For Jon, projects are allowed to evolve on the lathe and finishing with oil or polished wax results in a fascinating release of grain pattern and colour. Jon prefers to work in native woods and particularly seeks out spalted timber for its unique and interesting colouration.
