Derek Melville

Derek Melville was born in Belfast in 1965 and now lives rurally with his wife, a potter, and their three children. Working in acrylic, Derek's work is bold and rich in colour. He paints to portray his perception of the environment such as mountains, boglands, coasts and rural pathways and is intrinsically drawn to scenes that connect with and represent timeless beauty of the natural landscape. Derek is a highly regarded artist and has had numerous solo exhibitions.
