Alexandra Buckle's original linocut of the 'The Giant's Causeway' is inspired by the light, shadow and colour of the natural landscape. Her reduction linocut captures the beauty of the famous basalt columns and flora. This relief printing technique involves cutting and printing several layers of colour from the same block of lino in order to build up an image. Each layer of the entire edition of 14 has been printed by hand and can never be printed again.
Unframed prints are supplied mounted within a crystal clear cellophane bag. Framed prints are professionally mounted and framed in a black, dark grey, putty grey (pictured) or white wooden frame to complement the artwork. You can view frame colours and profiles here (other frame options are available on request).
An original linocut of The Dark Hedges by Alexandra Buckle is also available here.
