This Large Willow Hoop I is part of an exhibition of original art by local artist Ruth Osborne who is based in County Down. Impressions of Nature: Woodland-Shore presents an exploration and interpretation of local habitats from around Northern Ireland; native woodland, the shores of wetland and coast, and meadows. It is a celebration of the wildness, details, textures and patterns found within the landscape. The elements are combined to create a range of artworks and homewares on Irish Linen. Each piece has been made using a range of processes, including printmaking, painting, natural dyeing and nature printing. The printed linen comes displayed within a handmade willow hoop.
